Did you really just accept this? There's a whole bunch of things you can do, for a start you should / should have phoned OCUK and threatened them with office of fair trading etc.. Sounds like you did a BA?!

consumer act 1987, not as described, not fit for purpose.

Take them to county court under small claims. It'll cost you Ã‚Â£35 to file. It'll cost them 100 times that to defend your claim. I'll represent you. We'll win.

I’m assuming you paid with your credit card?
Tell them that you contest the charge as under the sale of goods act it’s not fit for the purpose OR as described. Tell them you want a refund on your card and that you have contacted the sellers and manufacturer’s with a request for a refund and you should get your money back.
Stick to the points under the sale of goods act (or distance selling regs) and you should be ok. Don’t accept no from the credit card company.
I’ve done this a couple of times and got good results.

Have a look into your rights in regards to distance buying, it may give you more to do.

Failing that, I'm fairly sure it's illegal to sell you something then not allow you to return it.

I suggest you phone the Citizens Advice Bureau -- they may even offer to phone OverCockles to sort this rediculous situation out.

On a plus note, the hardware buyer at my last company swore by CCL, yet from what I hear OCUK should stick to Fans and Heatsinks.
