I’m sure you must be someone I know because I’ve heard that arguement before, though it’s a common one that I used to subscribe to until I woke up. Putting such a level of power into the hands of a 3rd party doesn’t mean you have no worries if you’re innocent, because your innocence is no longer your business. They can now make you guilty, should they so choose. The governments of the world are already moving the goalposts with respect to what is “Legal” and what is “Illegal”, though they usually dress up anything they want to illegalise as aiding, or actively being terrorism. You download music, you’re funding terrorism! You listen to heavy metal, you must be a dissident! You won’t submit and be controlled, you are a radical and an extremist!
