Take a look at this absolute gem from Microsoft. For someone who does work with current web-standardy type stuff, XHTML, CSS and all that malarky this article should make you either laugh, or scream with rage.
Technical Articles
I particularly like the advised table layout, and the Easy-To-Read uppercase tags.
At least now I don’t have to wait for CSS3!
(That, just in case you missed it, was sarcasm.)

FINALLY!
It’s done. It *might* have some really arcane and weird bugs in it that we’ve not managed to find yet by accidentally forgetting to search amazon for depleted uranium in the “Homewares” section, but the main thing is, it’s finally ready.
This new version is for WordPress 1.5.1.3 and above. That’s it. If you’ve got an older version of wordpress, UPGRADE NOW or figure out how to get it working for yourself, we won’t help you. 😉
The new version is so far removed from the old in terms of coolness and ease of use it’s insane, so the easiest thing for you to do is head over to the Sozu website and get yourself a copy of Amazon Media Manager for WordPress.
PLEASE NOTE: As people find minor glitches and HTML stuff-ups, we’re updating the downloadable version as we go, rather than waiting to release a “Fixed” version. I know this is naughty but hey… So, if you run into any difficulties with the AMM, please download and install the version on the Sozu website *first*, just in case the problem has already been addressed.
Sadly you won’t see it running on this blog just yet as I’m still on WordPress 1.0beta or something, but when I finally *do* get round to upgrading adn redesigning, it’ll be burning bright just over there in the sidebar. Or maybe the main body? Or maybe the header… Who could say. You can however see it in action so far at Randomtask and at Gabbages, thanks to both of them for doing some preliminary testing.
With that, good day!

Having recently fixed my thumbnailling uploader and gotten its golden ratio proportioning magic all ironed out, the enthusiasm within me to finally pen my proper gallery is growing. No timeframes, because I suck like that, but just let it be known that once I come up with a decent way to transmit image data via or within an XML-RPC system things will move on at a better pace. Cue Rob…
Speaking of Robulus from Randomtask, I’ve recently added a photo of him in all his awesome coolness.
A trooper of cool, we salute you!
(Now get busy on that code…)

OH NOES!
I have *finally* got my upload script in to some kind of functional state. It’s way off being releasable and the public gallery code isn’t nearly finished, BUT, at least for now I can get images coming back onto my site again.
It’s been FAR too long and I have a back-catalog now of about 2000 or more photos to go through, so I am going to be uploading at a fair rate. Don’t blink or, if my intentions remain true, you’ll miss them.

There are some people at www.marcnjami.com (They don’t get an active hyperlink because they don’t deserve it) who have stolen my Munky favicon WITHOUT ASKING OR CREDITING ME without realising it was mine! This was kindly brought to my attention by a friend on IRC who thought they might have been working in conjunction with me on a gallery script.
The fellow I blasted a rather curt email to has responded kindly and ditched the monkey, comes to the fore that he’d found the icon and several others on the Favicon gallery I was added to a little while ago. Seems that the Favicon gallery might be giving a little too much spotlight to Google Ads and not enough to the fact that you can’t use the icons from that gallery without permission.
Ahhhh, capitalism 😉
Thanks to marcnjami.com for being nice, the internet’s not often an understanding place.

First up, finally someone near to government realises publically what’s so screwed up. Why are they all so slow, ignorant, foolish or ashamed of admitting their mistakes and really trying to sort things out?
BP, Mobil and Shell probably won’t let them, but who knows?
The AMM 1.5 is coming along nicely, there WILL be a posting soon about a beta version at the end of the week if things go to plan.
My site redesign is also in the works in the dusty drawing room of my mind, but so far the gallery is just on paper. Ahh well, you can’t have everything. If I manage to get it out by August I’ll be pleased. GO Me!

This has nothing to do with bottles. This has everything to do with the thousands of robots, underpaid Americans and bored 13 year old ‘Hax0rs’ that think advertising loans, viagra, herbal viagra, casino viagra, texas holdem viagra, poker, herbal poker and herbal texas holdem viagra loans on my website is going to get them even one more visitor to whatever lousy site they’re touting.
It’s really getting silly. For a while now I’ve had WordPress on ‘Moderate all comments’ mode, meaning I have to look through a list of all comments and yes/no them. I also installed a basic blacklist module to try and crop out some of the rubbish I get blasted with on a 24 hour basis. These things are starting also to fail me, the only corner I can run to now is the newness of wordpress1.5.2, which I shall be doing when I return from Oz.
I have decided to make a list.
- Complete the new AMM plugin with the assistance of Sozu Web Design
- Redesign my website slightly and upgrade to WP1.5
- Finalyl write a working gallery thing so I can get some more photos online
Now, regulars here will remember that I made an eerily similar list some 5 months ago and, evidently, have completely failled to complete it. No more. Sick of idleness I am. Small and green I have become.
Fed up with saying I’ll do thing and not doing things, really this time, I’m going to go ahead and do them. Promise. If I don’t, the herbal loan peddlers deserve everything they get, including interest rates that will stay up for hours.

We’re in Singapore, yo!
For those who didn’t know, I am flying with my girlfriend Coley to the (Currently not so sunny) shores of Melbourne, Aus. We’re off for 3 weeks and when I get back I swear, honest, that I’ll get the photos from the last….9 months into my gallery. It’s now a life mission.
As for the flight I actually managed to sleep, though poor coley did not. 12 hours in the air to Singapore and I think it’s ‘only’ another 9 to Melbourne.
Oh, they couldn’t start Number 3 engine on the runway in London. Lovely. Had to hand start it, possibly with a crank. Morris Minor Ho! (That will have to be explained later)
So, on to Melbourne. Nix, if you’re reading, we’re coming for you boy…
